Not sure if you need XL or Stock caps? Start here.

The single most important thing to know: XL floating caps cover your lug nuts. Stock floating caps do not. Use the picture below to see which one matches your wheels. Once you know your type, we'll point you to the right measuring steps.

XL Floating Caps vs Stock Floating Caps comparison — XL caps cover the lug nuts, stock floaters do not

✅ You need XL Floating Caps if…

  • Your lug nuts are currently visible and you want them covered
  • You want a bigger, fuller center that hides the bolts for a clean, balanced look
  • You have aftermarket wheels with an open or oversized center bore

This is what Float King is built for.

ℹ️ You have Stock-style wheels if…

  • Your lug nuts stay visible around a small center cap
  • The cap only covers the very center hub (like the BMW example above)
  • Your wheels use the small factory cap size

We make Stock Floating Caps for factory / OEM wheels (see the warning below about aftermarket).

⚠️ Important: We do not make caps for stock-size aftermarket wheels

If your aftermarket wheels look like the Stock Floater example above — small center cap, lug nuts left exposed — we do not have caps that fit those wheels. Float King only makes XL floating caps that cover the lug nuts.

There may be aftermarket adapters made to let stock-size center caps fit certain aftermarket wheels, but we do not sell those adapters and cannot advise on them. We only sell XL floating caps.
