Center cap measurement guide

Find Your Float King Size

The fastest way to confirm fit is to measure the cap you already have. Year, make, and model help, but the actual cap measurement is what confirms the correct product.

Measure before ordering. Stock caps and XL floaters are measured differently, so start with the type of wheel you have.

XL Floating Caps

XL floaters are typically for aftermarket or larger wheels. If your current center caps do not cover your lug nuts, XL floaters will not fit your wheel.

How to find your outer diameter

Place your cap face-up on paper, mark the left and right outside edges, then measure the distance between those marks. That distance is your XL outer diameter.

1 Mark both outside edges of the cap

2 Remove the cap and measure between the marks

3 Choose the closest XL outer diameter
145mm 5.71 in
160mm 6.30 in
163mm 6.42 in
166mm 6.54 in
170mm 6.69 in
175mm 6.89 in
182mm 7.17 in
190mm 7.48 in
Tip: Choose the size closest to the measurement between your two paper marks. The cap must be larger than your wheel's bore opening to sit flush on the face.

How to find your back-side size

Remove your existing cap and measure only the metal clip ring on the back. Do not include the plastic outer cap.

1 Remove your existing center cap

2 Choose the closest back-side option
58mm 2.28 inches
68mm 2.68 inches
Tip: XL back-side size has only two options. If your ring is closest to 58mm, choose 58mm. If it is closest to 68mm, choose 68mm.

Stock Floating Caps

Stock floaters are made for stock/OEM wheels only. The design can be customized, but the size cannot be guessed.

How to measure stock caps

  1. Remove one current center cap from your wheel.
  2. Place the cap face-up on a flat surface.
  3. Measure straight across the front outside diameter in millimeters.
  4. Choose the matching size shown on the product page.
If your exact year/model is not listed: that does not mean the cap will not fit. A quick measurement confirms the correct size.

Before contacting support

We can only confirm fitment when we can see the wheel, the current center cap, and the measurement. If you are unsure, prepare these before reaching out:

  • A clear photo of the full wheel.
  • A clear photo of the current center cap removed from the wheel.
  • Whether your wheel is stock/OEM or aftermarket.
  • Your measured size in millimeters.

Fitment Help Form

Need help confirming fitment? Complete the form before contacting support. Without clear wheel and center-cap photos, support cannot accurately confirm which cap fits your wheel.

Required before support can help: email, phone, wheel type, vehicle or wheel brand, measurement status, a full-wheel photo, and a center-cap photo.

Use this form if your year/model is not listed, you are unsure if your wheels are stock or aftermarket, or you need us to verify the correct size.

Photo uploads are required. Google may ask you to sign in so your photos can be securely attached to the request.
